How To Manage Email Tasks

Every project has a designated email address for external use. This address is used to receive communications from external customers (e.g., HCPs, patients, payors) who wish to contact the Medical Information Service.


All incoming email communications are automatically converted into tasks and can be accessed from the Tasks menu by applying the filter: Task Type > Email


By clicking on the email entry, a Task bar will appear on the left screen with additional information about the task.


There are 3 important areas that the user needs to become familiar for working with email task:

  • Open Email – This area displays the attached email communications, allowing you to preview or open emails directly.
  • Fill Task Details – This area is where the key fields of the task must be populated to take ownership of the email task, including setting its priority and due date.
  • Review Email – This area shows the email content exactly as it was received.

In addition to standard task actions, email tasks offer the following additional functionalities:

  • Reply - send a reply to the original sender.
  • Reply All - send a reply to the sender and all recipients included in the original email.
  • Forward - forward the email to additional recipients.
