How To Create A New Document
To create a new Document in the Content Module, select the green +Document button and then select Single File from the dropdown list.

You will be directed to the New Document Window where you can either upload a file using Upload file button or simply create a blank .docx file. In both cases, you will need to fill the metadata of all 3 Document Metadata Tabs.

Document Metadata are important as they consist of the identity of the document and are facilitating the identification of a document both in the Content module (filtering options) and identification of a response in the Inquiries module. There are 3 main Metadata categories:
Document metadata are important because they define the identity of a document and facilitate its identification both in the Content module (through filtering options) and identification of a response in the Inquiries module. There are three main metadata categories:

- General:
- On label/off label: Toggle containing information on whether content is according to licensed indication or not
- Document title: The Title of the Document which will appear throughout En3
- Document Number: Unique Document identifier which consists of a series of numbers and letters unique to this document
- Type: Document categorization such as Medical Information Documents, Enclosures and Components. Selection of a Document Type opens new options for Subtypes and Classification
- Subtype: Further specification of the document such as Verbal or Written response, Scientific Journal etc
- Classification: Third level of specification such as Local or Global Response etc
- Product Details:
- Products: Feeds from the Products Module and links the document to a specific product
- Therapeutic Areas: Defines which Therapeutic Area the document is relevant to
- Response Details:
- Requestor Classes: The audience which the document is intended ie. HCPs, Patients, Payors etc.
- Category: Selection of key Categories that the content of the document applies to
- Topic: Sub-selection of document topics according to the Category selected
You will need to fill all metadata information for a New document and by doing so you will enable the H. Save button at the right corner of the screen to save your progress.
Once saved the new document will appear in your content list and you can refresh the list by using the cyclical two arrows icon at the top of your list. In our example, the new document will appear in the list and its status is set to Draft. By clicking at the document you have full Access to the document and you can start editing or previewing the document as needed.
